Difficulty and Solution of Causation in the Crime of Producing and Selling Fake and Inferior Seeds

Abstract
Fake and inferior seeds jeopardize national food security and harm farmers' vital interests.Establis-hing the causal relationship between fake and inferior seeds and production losses serves as a crucial basis for legally combating such crimes.Analysis of grain production characteristics,farmers' legal awareness,and fake and inferior seed identification standards reveals that grain cultivation involves long production cycles and heavy dependence on natural conditions.Farmers' ability to identify counterfeit seeds and their awareness of rights protection remain weak.Discrepancies between administrative and judicial identification standards for fake and inferior seeds complicate causal relationship determination,leading to many cases that should be prosecuted for producing and selling fake and inferior seeds being ultimately classified as producing and selling fake and inferior products.This reduces the cost of illegal activities and inadvertently encourages the prolifera-tion of fake and inferior seeds.Recommendations include improving field identification through multi-dimen-sional approaches,enhancing farmers' counterfeit identification capabilities and legal rights awareness,and facilitating information exchange and situation reporting channels.These measures aim to better safeguard na-tional food security and protect farmers' legitimate interests.关键词
