Abstract

As an important part of the central urban area of Suqian city,Suyu district is home to three rivers:the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal,Liutang river,and Xinyi river,which simultaneously serve multiple functions such as flood control,drainage,drinking water sources,shipping,and landscape.Based on the 2020 water quality monitoring data and on-site investigation data,analyze the water environment,water ecology,and water resources issues faced by three rivers.Research shows that the overall water quality of regional rivers is showing a stable and positive trend,but problems such as exceeding flood season standards,insufficient ecological flow,and ecosystem degradation remain prominent;the combined effects of industrial point sources,urban living sources,agricultural non-point sources,and cross regional water pollution are the main factors that constrain the stability and compliance of water quality standards.
