Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)in the treatment of bone infection following open tibial fracture surgery, and to analyze its impact on the infection control process, inflammatory response, and joint function. Methods A total of 62 patients with bone infection after open tibial fracture surgery ad-mitted to Xiamen Third Hospital from February 2020 to January 2025 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, with 31 cases in each group. The control group received conventional wound man-agement(debridement,dressing change, antibiotics),while the observation group was additionally treated with VSD.The infection control time, frequency of dressing changes during treatment, levels of inflammatory markers[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),C-reactive protein(CRP)]before and after treatment, and knee joint function(HSS score)at 3 months postoperatively were compared between the two groups. Results The infection control time in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group(P<0.001),and the frequency of dressing changes was significantly reduced(P<0.001).After 4 weeks of treatment, the levels of IL-6,TNF-α,and CRP in both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of these markers in the observation group were sig-nificantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.001).At 3 months postoperatively, the HSS score in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of bone infection following open tibial fracture surgery, the combined application of vacuum sealing drainage technology can effectively ac-celerate infection control, reduce the frequency of dressing changes, alleviate systemic inflammatory response, and promote the recovery of knee joint function.关键词
