摘要

Abstract

The Lithospermum erythrorhizon,as a traditional Chinese medicinal plant,has its antiviral and wound healing effects widely recognized.However,the scarcity of genomic data for Lithosper-mum erythrorhizon has severely hindered the advancement of phylogenetic research and the formula-tion of effective conservation strategies.Using Illumina whole-genome sequencing data,the complete chloroplast genome of Lithospermum erythrorhizon was assembled.This circular chloroplast genome contained 150 410 base pairs(bp)and exhibitted a typical tetraploid structure,including a pair of re-verse complement sequences(IRA and IRB),a large single-copy region(LSC),and a small single-copy region(SSC).The GC content was 37.8%.This genome contained 128 functional genes,inclu-ding 8 ribosomal RNA(rRNA)genes,37 transfer RNA(tRNA)genes,and 83 protein-coding se-quences(CDS).28 synonymous codons with RSCU great than 1 were used,mostly ending with A or U.The phylogenetic analysis indicated that Lithospermum erythrorhizon occupies a unique evolution-ary position within the Boraginaceae family and showed significant genetic differentiation from its close relatives.
