Mining of Candidate Genes for Photoperiod Sensitivity in Glycine max based on GWAS

Abstract
To elucidate the molecular mechanism underlying the photoperiod sensitivity of Glycine max,a genome-wide association study(GWAS)was conducted on the photoperiod sensitivity of 78 Glycine max varieties.The results showed that 6 significantly associated SNPs loci were identified in field experiments conducted in Heilongjiang,Jilin and Liaoning provinces,with a phenotypic variation explanation rate ranging from 22.69%to 31.97%.Through gene annotation,3 candidate genes(Gly-ma.03G174300,Glyma.03G174500 and Glyma.13G157800)were selected.The expressions of these genes were all regulated by photoperiod,showing significant differences under long-day and short-day conditions,and specifically expressed in floral organs,showing a dynamic change of rising first and then falling,which suggested that they could be involved in the differentiation of floral organs.Haplo-type analysis revealed that several haplotypes in Glyma.03G174300 were mainly distributed in the high-latitude ecological zone Ⅰ,while others were more common in low-latitude regions.The differ-ent haplotypes of Glyma.03G174500 were dominant in ecological zones Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ respectively.The Glyma.13G157800 was mainly hap_1 in all 6 ecological zones,and the distribution range of other haplotypes was narrower.This study revealed the genetic basis of Glycine max photoperiod response,providing a theoretical basis for the selection of high-yield and high-quality Glycine max varieties in high-latitude regions.关键词
