乌梅丸加减治疗原发性肝癌TACE术后综合征的疗效及对AFP、MMP-9水平的影响
The efficacy of modified Wumei pill on TACE postoperative syndrome in primary hepatic carcinoma and its impacts on AFP and MMP-9 levels

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of modified Wumei pill on postoperative syndrome of primary hepatic carcinoma(PHC)after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE)and its impacts on levels of alpha fetoprotein(AFP)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9).Methods:This study selected 100 PHC patients with TACE postoperative syndrome admitted from January 2023 to March 2024 as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,the patients were assigned into two groups:a control group of 50 cases(conventional treatment)and an observation group of 50 cases(treated with modified Wumei pill based on the control group).After the treatment was completed,the efficacy of the two groups was compared.Meantime,the differences in traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,quality of life,tumor markers,angiogenic factors,matrix regulatory factors,and liver function between the control group and the observation group were observed.Results:The total effective rate of the control group was lower than that of the observation group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of various traditional Chinese medicine syndromes(such as fever,nausea and vomiting),and the levels of AFP,carcinoembryonic antigen,total bilirubin,alanine aminotransferase,and aspartate aminotransferase in both groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the Karnofsky performance status(KPS)scores of both groups increased compared to before treatment,and with the observation group being higher than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of basic fibroblast growth factor,vascular endothelial growth factor,and MMP-9 in both groups decreased compared to before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The modified Wumei pill can obviously regulate the levels of AFP and MMP-9,alleviate clinical symptoms,improve liver function,and enhance the quality of life of PHC patients with TACE postoperative syndrome.Therefore,it has the potential for further promotion and use.关键词
