摘要

Abstract

Vocational undergraduate education is a new member of the higher education system,shouldering the historical mission of serving the high-quality development of the population.The central region is plagued by an imbalanced population structure,with trends such as declining birth rates,aging population,and regional population differentiation weakening the development foundation for its rise.In particular,the loss of some eligible labor force has a negative impact on the industrial transformation and upgrading,as well as the endogenous growth capacity of the central region.Education plays an important regulatory and controlling role in population development,and vocational undergraduate education mainly promotes the improvement of population quality and connotative development based on economic,technological,and social aspects.In the face of new changes in population structure and new demands for population development,based on the existing advantages of vocational undergraduate education in the central region,vocational undergraduate colleges should take the initiative to fully unleash the direct and indirect effects of the population function of vocational undergraduate education,deepen the guiding effect of vocational undergraduate education on the population and social environment,and continuously enhance the important supporting role of high-quality population development in the rise of the central region.
