Abstract

In this paper,a steel plant coke oven site reconstruction exhibition hall is taken as prototype.The temperature field,velocity field,predicted average vote count,and predicted percentage of dissatisfaction distribution in typical personnel activity areas under different air supply angles of the vents in winter and summer were obtained through computational fluid dynamics simulation.The impact of the uneven refractory bricks inside the exhibition hall on indoor airflow organization was analyzed,and the air conditioning design scheme was evaluated.The results demonstrate that the presence of brick walls in the exhibition hall causes significant thermal zoning in typical occupant activity areas;under summer conditions with nozzles set at a 30° downward,the predicted mean vote(PMV)and percentage of dissatisfied(PPD)in these areas exceed thresholds(PMV<-0.5,PPD>10%),suggesting upward or horizontal air supply orientations as optimal solutions;under winter conditions,the thermal environment in typical personnel activity areas can basically meet the design requirements when only using a 30° downward air supply.
