Research on Speed Safety Boundaries for Automatic Operation of Heavy-Duty Trains

Abstract
Heavy-haul trains exhibit significant discreteness inherently from their air braking.To ensure safe operation,the automatic train operation(ATO)system must dynamically calculate speed safety boundaries that reflect changes in air braking force.This paper proposes a calculation method based on the safety domain theory.Firstly,the speed limit protection curve used by the train operation monitoring device LKJ is retrieved in a position-speed coordinate system,and is divided into a constant speed zone and a deceleration zone according to speed limit characteristics.Then,based on current actual train conditions and evaluated air braking efficiency,safety boundaries are calculated for the two zones by a least squares support vector machine(LSSVM)and an inverse iteration algorithm,respectively.Finally,the safety boundaries of the two zones are cut and spliced to form the complete safety boundaries.Simulations and verification using a semi-physical test bench show that the safety boundary curve obtained from the proposed method effectively distinguishes the safety and non-safety domains of train operation,and has practical engineering application value in the field of automatic operation of heavy-duty trains.关键词
