Abstract

Spontaneous combustion of coal during mining and utilization has always been a safety concern in the industry.Therefore,the development of efficient and environmentally friendly new materials for preventing and controlling coal spontaneous combustion is urgently needed.Based on the team's preliminary research,a scheme was proposed to prepare the gel foam based konjac gum by using sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether sulfate sodium(AES),and lauryl amine propyl betaine(CHX)as the composite foaming system,the konjac gum(KGM)and xanthan gum(XG)as the gelation system,and aluminum citrate(Alcit)as the cross-linking agent.Then the surface tension,foaming height,stability coefficient and so on of the gel foam with different compounding systems were tested.The optimal ratio of the gel foam based konjac gum was obtained based on the range analysis method,which was SDS concentration of 0.05%,AES of 0.05%,CHX of 1%,the gel of 0.5%(KGM-XG mass ratio 4∶1),and Alcit of 0.20%.Through thermogravimetric analysis and scanning electron microscopy tests,it was found that the dry cracking temperature,ignition temperature,and burnout temperature of the inhibited coal sample increased by 42,30 and 37℃respectively,the residual mass loss after the reaction decreased by 88.1%,the activation energy increased by 15.1%.The gel foam based konjac gum has the excellent film-forming property and the dense three-dimensional network structure,which has an inhibitory effect on coal spontaneous combustion from the aspects of oxygen isolation in the liquid film,water retention and cooling,leakage prevention and oxygen exclusion and chemical inhibition.
