针刺结合苗医弩药溻渍疗法治疗腰椎间盘突出症的临床观察
Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation with Acupuncture Combined with External Application of Miao Medicine Crossbow Herb

Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with external application of Miao medicine crossbow herb on patients with lumbar disc herniation.Methods A total of 64 patients who were admitted to the Department of Acupuncture and Rehabilitation,Xishui County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,from January 2023 to July 2024 were enrolled in this study and randomly divided into the treatment group(32 cases;2 cases dropped out)and control group(32 cases;1 case excluded,1 case dropped out).The control group was given conventional acupuncture treatment,while the treatment group was given conventional acupuncture combined with Miao medicine external application therapy.The treatment lasted for two weeks.Subjective scale scores[the visual analogue scale(VAS),Oswestry Disability Index(ODI),and modified Japanese Orthopaedic Association(M-JOA)score],expression of pain mediators[β-endorphin(β-EP)and substance P(SP)]and total clinical effective rate were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After two weeks of intervention,VAS score,ODI index,M-JOA score and serum SP content in both groups were lower than before intervention(P<0.01),and serum β-EP content was higher than before intervention(P<0.05).The reductions in VAS score,ODI index,M-JOA score,and serum SP content,as well as the total clinical effective rate,were all significantly greaters in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with external application of Miao medicine crossbow herb can effectively alleviate pain severity and improve lumbar function and daily living ability of LDH patients by adjusting the level of serum pain mediators,and it is safe.关键词
