Abstract

Porous carbon/SiCnw composites with mesoporous and microporous structures were successfully prepared through simple direct carbonization and chemical vapor reaction methods using potato as raw materials.The results of X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy characterization showed that the in-situ grown SiCnw could be uniformly distributed in the porous carbon matrix.In the range of 2-18 GHz,the reflection loss of potato-derived porous carbon materials was higher than-10 dB,indicating poor electromagnetic wave absorption performance.The introduction of SiCnw improved the attenuation constant of the material and obtained excellent impedance matching,which improved the wave-absorbing performance of potato-derived porous carbon/SiCnw composite.The minimum reflection loss of potato-derived porous carbon/SiCnw composites with3.40 mm thickness reached-54.82 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth with 1.76 mm thickness reached 4.84 GHz(13.16-18 GHz),exhibiting excellent electromagnetic wave absorption characteristics.
