A Survey on Symmetric Searchable Encryption
摘要
Abstract
With the rapid development of cloud computing,searchable encryption enables efficient search over outsourced encrypted data while preserving the privacy of sensitive information,thereby achieving a balance between data security and usability.This study systematically investigates the role of symmetric searchable encryption(SSE)in supporting encrypted database systems.It introduces the fundamental principles and architectural models of SSE,with a focus on its practical deployment in encrypted database environments.In particular,the study examines how SSE can provide efficient and flexible query capabilities without compromising data confidentiality.Existing SSE schemes are systematically classified according to their supported query functionalities,and the key characteristics of different categories are analyzed in detail.Furthermore,the study discusses important aspects such as result verifiability and multi-user support in SSE-based systems,and provides an in-depth analysis of the application of SSE in relational databases.Finally,the challenges faced by current SSE techniques and potential future research directions are outlined.关键词
