Research progress on immune factors and Chinese herbal medicine treatment of endometriosis
摘要
Abstract
Immune dysregulation within the microenvironment of ectopic lesions is a major contributing factor to endometriosis(EM).In recent years,numerous studies have investigated the therapeutic effects of Chinese medicinals(CMs)on EM through multi-level interventions,including the regulation of immune cell and complement system functions,as well as cytokine and antibody levels.Numerous randomized controlled trials have demonstrated that CMs can modulate immune system function,enhance host defense,allevi-ate inflammation,and consequently inhibit the implantation and invasion of ectopic EM.This review aims to comprehensively summa-rize Chinese herbal compounds,active monomers,and extracts that modulate immune responses in EM,analyze their specific mecha-nisms and the findings from randomized controlled trials(RCTs),identify current research gaps,and propose potential new clinical strategies for managing this condition.关键词
