Abstract
The n-TOPCon mono-Si solar cell(hereinafter referred to as TOPCon solar cell)is an n-type high-efficiency c-Si solar cell.The passivation contact structure composed of ultra-thin silicon oxide layer and doped poly-Si layer brings excellent surface passivation effect.It is expected that TOPCon solar cells will surpass PERC mono-Si solar cells in market share after 2024,becoming the mainstream product of the new generation of c-Si solar cells.This paper first elaborates on the basic structure and working principle of TOPCon solar cells.Then,the current situation of such solar cells is analyzed from three aspects:market,photoelectric conversion efficiency and yield,and technical route,and corresponding solutions are proposed.Finally,the development direction of such solar cells is discussed.The research results show that:1)As of the end of August 2024,the mass production photoelectric conversion efficiency of TOPCon solar cells produced by leading Chinese solar cell manufacturers is between 26.1%and 26.5%,the incoming photoelectric conversion efficiency is between 25.10%and 25.30%,and the mass production yield is close to 97%.Compared with PERC mono-Si solar cells,TOPCon solar cells have a mass production photovoltaic conversion efficiency that is more than 2%higher,and the production yield is basically the same.In the future,the gap between the two will further widen through improving technological routes,optimizing process plans,and other means.2)All three backside deposition technologies of TOPCon solar cells have mass production lines or have already been put into operation.Among them,the LPCVD technology is relatively mature and has the largest mass production scale.The PECVD technology route has the greatest market potential.There are very few solar cell production enterprises that adopt PVD technology route,and the industry attention to this technology route is not high.3)Cost reduction and efficiency improvement remain the research focus of large-scale production of TOPCon solar cells.To achieve this goal,future research directions mainly include the development of ultra-thin TOPCon solar cells,optimization of SE preparation methods,exploration of high-quality tunneling oxide layer preparation methods,optimization of doped poly-Si layer preparation methods,exploration of continuous silver reduction metallization technology,and exploration of front poly-finger technology.The research results can provide reference for the selection of TOPCon solar cell technology route.关键词
