Abstract

The PV hydrogen production system has great potential for application in the future energy market,and energy management strategies and capacity allocation have important impacts on the construction and operation of the system.This paper first proposes an energy management strategy for PV hydrogen production system based on the output power prediction of PV power generation system,and based on this strategy,a capacity configuration optimization model for PV hydrogen production system is constructed using MATLAB simulation platform(hereinafter referred to as"MATLAB capacity configuration optimization model").Then,using the HOMER Pro simulation platform,a PV hydrogen production system capacity configuration optimization model(hereinafter referred to as the"HOMER Pro capacity configuration optimization model")is also constructed.Finally,a comparative analysis is conducted on the optimization results of the two models through numerical simulations.The research results show that:1)Both the HOMER Pro capacity configuration optimization model and the MATLAB capacity configuration optimization model have not given sufficient attention to the configuration of battery installed capacity,resulting in generally small battery installed capacity.2)In terms of model applicability,the MATLAB capacity configuration optimization model has higher flexibility and adjustability.Being able to customize the objective function according to the actual needs of the project,in order to better adapt to optimization requirements in different scenarios.Although the HOMER Pro capacity configuration optimization model has the advantages of simple calculation and easy operation,its energy management strategy is relatively simple,and the optimization process only focuses on economic parameters as a single objective,which has certain limitations in project adaptability.3)The proposed energy management strategy has been effectively implemented in the MATLAB capacity configuration optimization model.By dynamically adjusting the real-time deviation rate control limit and battery installed capacity,it can effectively suppress the random fluctuations of electrolyzer input power,help extend the service life of the electrolyzer,and further improve the stability and economy of the PV hydrogen production system.In summary,the MATLAB capacity configuration optimization model has demonstrated significant advantages in capacity configuration optimization and energy management strategy design for PV hydrogen production systems.The research results can provide theoretical basis and technical support for the optimization design and operation of PV hydrogen production systems.
