Abstract
In recent years,the PV industry has developed rapidly.However,old PV power stations that are commissioned in the early days face numerous issues such as low photoelectric conversion efficiency of PV modules and increased output power attenuation rates.At the same time,old PV power stations also possess numerous advantages such as abundant solar energy resources in their locations and high subsidized electricity prices.In response to the problems existing in the old PV power stations,the industry commonly adopts a"large power-for-small power"renovation scheme.This paper takes an old PV power station grid-connected in 2013 as an example,the"large power-for-small power"renovation scheme for its PV modules is analyzed.Two inverters with low power generation utilization hours are selected from the PV power station,and the connected PV subarrays are renovated.The renovation of the two PV subarrays is completed by analyzing the parameters of the PV modules,types of PV brackets,number of PV modules in series,and selection of PV string fuses.Then,the power generation capacity improvement effect of the renovation scheme is verified by benchmarking the power generation utilization hours of the renovated PV subarrays against those of standard PV arrays.The analysis results showed that:1)Compared to the PV subarray connected to the inverter before the renovation scheme,the generation utilization hours of the renovated PV subarray can be increased by 14.0%,demonstrating that the"large power-for-small power"renovation scheme for PV modules in this power station can significantly enhance the power generation capacity of PV subarray.2)Compared to the theoretical improvement in generation capacity(14.2%)achieved through increased PV module conversion efficiency and reduced output power degradation rate,the actual improvement in generation utilization hours(14.0%)after the renovation scheme is 0.2%lower.The primary reasons for this discrepancy are attributed to factors such as measurement errors in PV module output power degradation rates and the difficulty in accurately obtaining solar irradiation variations across different periods.关键词
