Abstract

To address the issue of track-to-track misassociation caused by similar kinematic parameters among adjacent targets in multi-target nearby tracking scenario for T/R-R compact high-frequency surface wave radar,a target state topology assisted track-to-track association method is proposed in this paper.First,utilizing the spatial state consistency between the target of interest and sur-rounding vessels,a topological structure is constructed with the target as the center and nearby vessels as nodes.Then,the relative state relationships between the target and nearby vessels are extracted as the spatial structural features of the target and an extended optimal subpattern assignment distance is modified to calculate structural similarity,aiding track-to-track association.Finally,by considering both parametric and structural similarities of target tracks,the optimal association is solved using the Jonker-Volgenant-Castanon algorithm,with the goal of minimizing the total association cost.Experiments on multi-target trajectory association are con-ducted using simulation and real-measurement data.The results show that the proposed method effectively resolves the ambiguity caused by similar kinematic parameters in multi-target close maneuvering scenarios,improving track association accuracy.
