Abstract
Latent fingerprints are frequently left at crime scenes.The visualization of latent fingerprints on adhesive tape surfaces presents a sig-nificant challenge in practical investigations due to the unique properties of the substrate.In this study,the long-afterglow luminescent materi-al SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+was coated via a sol-gel method,producing fluorescent powder modified with a silica-alumina binary film.The suc-cessful coating and enhanced water resistance of the material were confirmed through SEM,fluorescence spectroscopy,and water resistance tes-ting.The modified material was formulated into a fine-particle suspension for visualizing latent fingerprints on common adhesive tape surfaces.A comprehensive evaluation of the development performance was conducted,focusing on selectivity,contrast,sensitivity,and applicability.The results indicate that the Si-Al binary film-coated SrAl2O4:Eu2+,Dy3+suspension exhibits unique advantages in visualizing latent fingerprints on tape surfaces,outperforming traditional carbon ink staining,and effectively visualizing aged fingerprints.The long-afterglow property of the material enables high-quality fingerprint visualization by effectively eliminating background interference.关键词
