Identification of Regulators of StcPGM in Potato
摘要
Abstract
The function of cytosol-localized phosphoglucomutase(cPGM)in potato starch synthesis has been clarified,but its expression regulators remain unknown.In this study,the StcPGM promoter was used as bait to screen a tuber yeast library,resulting in the identification of multiple candidate proteins.Yeast one-to-one validation revealed that one of these proteins,StSAT5,could bind to the StcPGM promoter.Dual-luciferase re-porter assay results showed that the StSAT5 protein inhibited the activity of the StcPGM gene promoter,sug-gesting that this protein is a suppressor of starch synthesis in potato.关键词
