Abstract
Objective To investigate the current status of job burnout and occupational well-being among nurses in the Central Sterile Supply Department(CSSD),and to explore the correlation between them.Methods Using a convenience sampling method,103 nurses from the CSSDs of three tertiary Grade A hospitals in Nanyang City were selected for a questionnaire survey from May 2023 to December 2023.A total of 95 valid questionnaires were finally included.The survey instruments included a general information questionnaire,the Job Burnout Scale,and the Occupational Well-Being Scale.Results Among CSSD nurses,the score for the emotional exhaustion dimension of job burnout was(29.98±8.38),the score for the depersonalization dimension was(14.17±6.02),and the score for the personal accomplishment dimension was(17.59±7.76).The total occupational well-being score was(69.53±9.73).After controlling for potential confounding variables in the general data,including age,professional title,shift system,average daily instrument processing volume,frequency of vocational training,and level of colleague support,multiple linear regression analysis showed that the emotional exhaustion dimension(β=-0.218,P=0.002),depersonalization dimension(β=-0.367,P<0.001),and personal accomplishment dimension(β=0.494,P<0.001)were all independent influencing factors of occupational well-being.The scores of the emotional exhaustion and depersonalization dimensions of job burnout were negatively correlated with the total occupational well-being score and the scores of all its dimensions,whereas the score of the personal accomplishment dimension was positively correlated with the total occupational well-being score and the scores of all its dimensions(P<0.05).Conclusion Job burnout among CSSD nurses is at a relatively high level,while occupational well-being is at a moderate level,and the two are significantly correlated.Hospital administrators should pay attention to the association between nurse job burnout and occupational well-being,and formulate comprehensive strategies at the levels of organizational support and individual intervention to promote nurses'mental health and work engagement.关键词
