Differential"Visual-Emotional"Resonance Patterns Between Regenerated Post-industrial Landscapes and Comprehensive Urban Parks

Abstract
[Objective]The study aims to provide references for the design of refined regeneration of post-industrial landscapes by addressing the risk of semantic ambiguity,which results from garden-oriented regeneration of post-industrial landscapes,and quantifying their"visual-emotional"perceptual boundaries and resonance patterns different from comprehensive urban parks.[Method]Based on crowdsourced social media data,visual/chromatic features and public emotions are extracted using computer vision and natural language processing,respectively,to construct a resonance analysis framework to compare the perceptual logic of post-industrial landscapes and comprehensive urban parks.[Result]Comprehensive urban parks exhibit comfort resonance based on the balance between vitality and openness.Conversely,post-industrial landscapes lie within a dual visual suppression zone with low brightness and low saturation,dampening hedonic emotions while providing an intervention opportunity for high-arousal emotions.The strong color convergence of visual elements in post-industrial landscapes serves as a semantic unifier,accommodating wild nature;emotions such as"surprise"are strongly associated with high-saturation renovated artificial elements.[Conclusion]This study reveals the perceptual divergences between post-industrial landscapes and comprehensive urban parks.In the future,the synergistic effect of color tonalities should be leveraged to protect the authenticity of post-industrial sites,and it should be alert to the risk of narrative discontinuity caused by excessive reliance on high-saturation interventions.The"visual-emotional"resonance analysis framework could further expand to cover more types of heterogeneous urban spaces such as villages within the central city,abandoned construction sites and dark tourism sites,so as to deepen the understanding of the change logic of public perception in contemporary complex human settlements.关键词
