Impact of Population Aging on the Adjustment of Agricultural Industry Structure in Xinjiang

Abstract
In the context of the intensifying trend of population aging,most of the young and middle-aged labor force are engaged in the secondary and tertiary industries,which reduces the supply of agricultural labor,and the aging of agricultural production activities in some rural areas leads to a decrease in agricultural production efficiency and an increase in production costs.Taking Xinjiang as the research object,this study systematically analyzed the current situation of population aging and the characteristics of agricultural industrial structure in this region.On this basis,the study was carried out with the help of a benchmark regression model,and heterogeneity analysis was carried out to fully reveal the impact differences at different levels.The study found that the phenomenon of population aging has brought profound changes to the agricultural industry structure in multiple dimensions in Xinjiang.The aging of the population has significantly reduced the supply of agricultural labor,and the traditional planting industry has borne the strong brunt,while the animal husbandry and agricultural service industries have ushered in relatively rapid development opportunities.This kind of adjustment of the industrial structure is not only limited to a simple change in the proportion of industrial output value,but also goes deep into the reconstruction of the agricultural industrial chain and the fundamental innovation of agricultural production methods.Further research also reveals significant differences in the response to the challenges of population ageing in different regions within Xinjiang.Due to the differences in geographical,economic,social and other factors,there are obvious differences between southern Xinjiang and northern Xinjiang in terms of strategies and effects of agricultural industrial restructuring.In the process of restructuring Xinjiang's agricultural industry,it is necessary for the government to play its leading role,enterprises as the main body of the market to actively expand the agricultural market,universities and scientific research institutions to provide intellectual support,and farmers to improve their comprehensive literacy,the four parties will work together to form a joint development force and help achieve new development of the agricultural industrial structure.关键词
