Abstract
This study aimed to explore the effects of dietary supplementation with clostridium butyricum on the growth performance, serum index and intestinal health indicators of Arbor Acres broilers.A total of 400 1-day-old Arbor Acres broilers with an average body weight of 42.57±1.41 g were selected and randomly divided into 4 groups, with 10 replicates in each group and 10 Arbor Acres broilers in each replicate. The control group was fed a basal diet, and 0.2%,0.4%and 0.6%clostridium butyricum(2.88×109 CFU/g)were added to the basal diet in trial groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ and Ⅲ,respectively. The experiment lasted for 45 days. The results showed that:(1)compared with the control group and the trial groupⅠ,the average daily feed intake and average daily weight gain of the trial group Ⅱ were significantly increased(P<0.05),and feed-to-gain ratio was significantly decreased(P<0.05).(2)Compared with the control group and the trial group I,the serum catalase, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and low-density lipoprotein in the trial group Ⅱ were all lower(P<0.05),while the serum total superoxide dismutase,high-density lipoprotein, immunoglobulin A,and immunoglobulin M were all higher(P<0.05).(3)Compared with the control group and the trial group I,villus height and villus height/crypt depth were significantly increased(P<0.05),while crypt depth was significantly decreased(P<0.05),the relative mRNA expression levels of Claudin-1 and Zonula Occludens-1 in the trial group Ⅱwere significantly increased(P<0.05).In conclusion, dietary supplementation of 0.4%clostridium butyricum can improve growth performance and optimize the serum and intestinal health indicators of broilers.关键词
