Research progress on the involvement of autophagy in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus
摘要
Abstract
Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is a chronic autoimmune disease that predominantly affects women of childbearing age.It is highly heterogeneous,characterized by a high disability rate,the pro-duction a variety of antibodies,and involvement of multiple organs.Autophagy controls cell stress,protein ho-meostasis,and mitochondrial quality by degrading damaged cytoplasmic components through lysosomes,and its dysregulation can disrupt cell homeostasis and contribute to a variety of diseases.Autophagy plays a crucial role in maintaining the homeostasis of innate and adaptive immunity.The pathogenesis of SLE is complex,in-volving genetics,environmental,and immunological factors.In recent years,an increasing number of studies have confirmed that autophagy is implicated in the genetic susceptibility to SLE and the disorder of immune reg-ulation.Therefore,in-depth research on the impact of autophagy on the differentiation of immune cells in SLE may provide new insights for identifying effective therapeutic targets for SLE.关键词
