摘要

Abstract

Niobium is an important strategic and critical metal,with approximately 90% of global production concentrated in Brazil and Canada.Although China possesses abundant niobium reserves,their exploitation remains difficult due to low ore grades,fine dissemination,and complex occurrence states,resulting in a long-term dependence on imports.The beneficiation of niobium-bearing minerals generally involves a combined process of gravity separation,magnetic separation,and flotation,among which flotation is the most complex and crucial step.In this paper,the recent research progress on flotation reagents and beneficiation processes for niobium minerals both in China and abroad was reviewed.The advantages and limitations of existing collectors such as amine and hydroxamate types were summarized.The challenges associated with current niobium beneficiation flow sheets were studied.In view of the complex niobium resources in the Bayan Obo deposit,a technical approach integrating beneficiation and metallurgy was proposed to enhance niobium recovery and utilization efficiency.
