小麦抗穗发芽优异资源鉴定及抗性与农艺性状关联分析
Identification of Excellent Wheat Resources with Resistance to Pre-harvest Sprouting and Association Analysis between Resistance and Agronomic Traits

Abstract
To screen germplasm resources resistant to wheat pre-harvest sprouting(PHS)and explore the factors influencing wheat PHS resistance,this study conducted a two-year evaluation of PHS resistance using 1069 wheat germplasm resources.Additionally,the correlation between PHS resistance and agronomic traits was analyzed.Comparisons of PHS resistance and the distribution of PHS resistance levels revealed that a predominant proportion(52.9%)of the 1069 germplasm resources were highly susceptible.Among white-grained germplasm,the proportion of resistant germplasm with a resistance level of moderate-to-high was merely 5.6%,while the proportion of highly susceptible germplasm reached 79.5%.In contrast,among red-grained germplasm,29.9%were resistant and 47.0%were highly susceptible,indicating significantly stronger PHS resistance in red-grained germplasm compared to white-grained germplasm.Among landraces,resistant germplasm accounted for 29.7%,which was approximately twice that of cultivars and foreign germplasms,demonstrating that landraces exhibited significantly superior PHS resistance compared to foreign germplasms and Chinese cultivars.The results of the Northern Winter Wheat Region are for reference only due to insufficient sample size(only six samples).The distribution of PHS resistance levels varied across the other nine wheat regions.Six of these regions were primarily composed of highly susceptible germplasm,with proportions ranging from 36.8%to 76.7%,and resistant germplasm accounting for 7.6%to 39.6%.Notably,in the Middle and Lower Yangtze Valley Winter Wheat Region,and the South China Winter Wheat Region,the proportion of resistant germplasm reached 40%,demonstrating relatively superior PHS resistance.The correlation analysis between PHS resistance and agronomic traits revealed a highly significant positive correlation between PHS resistance and plant height as well as grain color,while a highly significant negative correlation was observed with grain length,grain width,and thousand-grain weight.PHS resistance also showed highly significant correlations with spikelet number,days from sowing to heading,and days from sowing to maturity,the directional(positive/negative)associations of these traits were environment-dependent.All correlation strengths are relatively weak(with the absolute value of the correlation coefficient|r|≤0.39).Through screening,a total of 11 red-grained germplasms exhibiting high resistance to PHS and 3 white-grained germplasms demonstrating resistance to PHS were identified.The findings of this study provide a theoretical basis for understanding the characteristics of wheat germplasm resources in terms of PHS resistance and the factors influencing wheat PHS resistance.The screened germplasms that exhibit resistance to PHS could serve as important resistance resources for research on wheat PHS resistance and breeding programs.关键词
