Multidimensional Exploration of Curcumin in Hepatocellular Carcinoma Therapy:Chemical Characteristics,Molecular Mechanisms,and Combination Therapy

Abstract
Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly malignant tumor characterized by insidious onset,difficulties in early diagnosis,and high mortality rates,which seriously affects patients'quality of life and survival.Curcumin,a polyphenolic compound extracted from the rhizome of the traditional Chinese herb turmeric,is widely used in food processing and healthcare.In recent years,with increasing research on curcumin,its application in the treatment of HCC has attracted widespread attention.Curcumin can suppress inflammatory activity in liver cancer,induce apoptosis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells through multiple pathways,inhibit abnormal intratumoral angiogenesis,and demonstrate effective antiviral pharmacological effects against hepatitis virus.This review systematically summarizes recent advances in the research on curcumin against liver cancer,aiming to provide valuable references for basic research,drug development,and clinical applications of curcumin in the treatment of HCC.关键词
