Abstract

To investigate the effect of sensitization methods on the low-emperature resistance of ammonium amine explosives,chemical and physical sensitization methods were used to prepare ammonium amine explosives respectively.At room temperature of 25℃and low temperature of-20℃,viscosity and crosslinking time of ammonium amine explosives were measured using a viscometer,microstructure was observed under a microscope,water-resistance was characterized by conductivity method,and detonation velocity was tested by electrical measurement method.The results show that,at low temperatures,the crosslinking time of chemically sensitized explosives increased from 26 min at room temperature to 81 min,and bubbles in the explosives gathered,accompanied by needle like crystals.The crosslinking time of explosives physically sensitized with glass microspheres increased from 25 min at room temperature to 63 min,while the diameter and distribution of the explosives remained almost unchanged before and after freezing.As the freezing time increases,the con-ductivity of the explosive increases and water resistance deteriorates.After being frozen for 48 h and dissolved in deionized water for 270 minutes,the conductivity of chemically sensitized explosives increased by46.8%.Conductivity of physically sensitized explosives increased by 85.6%.After 48 hours of freezing,the detonation velocity of chemically sensitized ex-plosives decreased from 4 115 m/s at room temperature to a non-detonation state.Detonation velocity of physically sensi-tized explosives decreased from 3 751 m/s to 2 663 m/s.At room temperature,chemically sensitized ammonium amine ex-plosives have a fast crosslinking time,small and uniform bubbles,a good water resistance,and a high detonation velocity.But its low-temperature resistance is poor.In contrast,physically sensitized ammonium amine explosives have a certain low-temperature resistance.
