Review,analysis and prospect of research on people's better life in the New Era
摘要
Abstract
Realizing people's aspiration for a better life constitutes both the starting point and the ultimate objective of Chinese path to modernization.Since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,academic research has generated abundant achievements concerning the theoretical rationale,contemporary significance,the core connotation,the realization pathways and key issues related to a better life for the people.However,existing studies have paid relatively limited attention to the internal generative logic of a better life,the construction of evaluation indicators,and international communication and dissemination of a better life.In response to these shortcomings,the academic community should deepen the research on the connotation of the good life,broaden the international perspective of such research,and explore research methods that combine qualitative and quantitative approaches as well as normative and empirical analysis.In particular,with regard to indicator-based research on a better life,it is necessary not only to draw on commonly used indicators from quality-of-life theories,but also to construct a scientifically grounded and context-sentive so as to enable an objective assessment of the level of realization of a better life and the practical constraints it faces.Thereby more targeted and policy-relevant discussions on the pathways toward achieving a better life can be triggered.关键词
