摘要

Abstract

From December 2023 to December 2025,the water level of the underground fluid monitoring well in Shiping County,Honghe Prefecture,Yunnan Province,declined significantly by 6.5 meters.To determine whether this water level decline constitutes a geophysical anomaly related to earthquakes,a systematic investigation was conducted on environmental interference factors such as rainfall,water level of Yilong Lake,and pumping from surrounding water wells.Combined with hydrogeology and tectonic stress analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:① The continuous large drop in water level of Shiping Well is closely related to the reduction in groundwater runoff recharge caused by increased pumping from nearby motor-powered wells;② During the rapid water level decline since December 2023,the hydrochemical type of groundwater remained unchanged;③ Although certain stress-strain signals were recorded during the water level decline,no continuous enhancement of regional stress was observed throughout the period,indicating that the water level anomaly is not correlated with tectonic activity.In conclusion,the significant water level drop of Shiping well is not a seismic geophysical anomaly,but is induced by the increased groundwater extraction from surrounding wells.
