On the Epistemological Characteristics of Chinese Philosophy

Abstract
Chinese philosophy is fundamentally oriented toward guiding human life,embodying the in-tellectual character of practical philosophy.Its literary forms and stylistic expressions differ significantly from the argumentation-dominated mode in Western philosophy.Faced with the hermeneutic complexity of philosophical texts and epistemological reflections on the theoretical validity of different schools,research on Chinese philosophy must adopt robust methodological tools to clarify issues,comprehend fundamental tenets,resolve tensions,and present the distinct life wisdom and ideal pursuits of various schools.Based on this,the study first delineates the scope of Chinese philosophical classics through an analysis of their theoretical forms.It then elucidates the meaning of philosophical propositions to define the distinctive characteristics of Chinese philosophy.Subsequently,it investigates how these propositions can be empiri-cally verified.Finally,it examines the function of Chinese philosophical theories in life practice,exploring the attitudes learners ought to cultivate and the outcomes they may attain.关键词
