基于"甘守津还"理论以甘味药为核心辨治阿尔茨海默病
Differentiation and Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease Based on the Theory of"Sweet-Nourishing to Restore Body Fluids"with Sweet-Flavored Medicinals as the Core

Abstract
Based on the theory of"sweet-nourishing to restore body fluids",the fundamental pathogenesis of alzheimer's disease(AD)is injury of body fluids and deficiency of marrow.Excessive kidney deficiency leads to depletion of essence and exhaustion of body flu-ids,resulting in emptiness of the sea of marrow,loss of nourishment of the primordial spirit,and dysfunction of mental activities.When spleen deficiency causes failure of transportation,water and dampness accumulate into phlegm,the distribution of body fluids is obstruc-ted,clear yang fails to ascend,and body fluids cannot be transported upward to the brain orifices,leading to insufficient filling of the sea of marrow.In cases of liver-kidney yin deficiency,depletion of essence and blood results in fluid depletion and blood dryness;the sea of marrow becomes empty,the brain orifices lose nourishment,the primordial spirit is deprived of support,and mental activities are im-paired.Therefore,treatment should employ sweet-flavored medicinals to invigorate the spleen,moisten dryness,and distribute body flu-ids,combined with other medicinals according to specific pathogenesis.When kidney deficiency and fluid depletion with insufficiency of the sea of marrow predominate,treatment should focus on sweet and salty supplementation and moistening,nourishing yin and enriching essence,with Modified Rehmannia Drink.When insufficiency of the middle earth and depletion of body fluids leading to loss of nourish-ment are prominent,treatment should focus on employing sweet and bland moistening,tonifying qi and strengthening yin,with Modified Spleen-Restoring Decoction combined with Ginseng and Poria and White Atractylodes Powder.When fluid depletion and blood dryness transform into phlegm and the chronic condition enters the collaterals,treatment should focus on using acrid and sweet medicinals to search and eliminate,resolve phlegm and remove blood stasis,with Modified Phlegm-Flushing Decoction combined with Orifice-Un-blocking and Blood-Invigorating Decoction.Besides,medicinals and dosages should be adjusted according to syndrome differentiation to improve patients'cognitive function and restore their self-care ability.关键词
