Application of nursing pathway based on enhanced recovery after surgery in elderly patients undergoing robot-assisted transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion

Abstract
Objective:To explore the application effect of nursing pathway based on enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)in robot-assisted transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion(RA-TLIF)for elderly patients with lumbar degenerative diseases.Method:A historical control was designed in this study.67 elderly patients with lumbar degenerative disease who underwent RA-TLIF and received routine nursing care during the perioperative period at our hospital from January 2024 to March 2024 were selected as the control group,and 67 elderly patients with same diseases who underwent RA-TLIF and received ERAS-based nursing pathway intervention during the perioperative period at our hospital from April 2024 to June 2024 were selected as the observation group.The postoperative recovery,postoperative pain level,anxiety,lumbar function,complications and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result:The observation group had significantly shorter postoperative hospital stay,earlier time to first ambulation,and earlier time to first oral intake than the control group(P<0.05).The visual analog scale(VAS)scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 24 h,48 h,and 72 h after surgery(P<0.05).The geriatric anxiety inventory(GAI)score was lower in the observation group than that in the control group at 7 days after surgery(P<0.05).Three months after surgery,the Oswestry disability index(ODI)score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).The nursing satisfaction level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The nursing effect of ERAS-based nursing pathway in RA-TLIF for elderly patients with lumbar degenerative diseases is significant,which can accelerate postoperative recovery progress,promote lumbar function recovery,relieve pain and anxiety,and improve nursing satisfaction.关键词
