Abstract
Maximizing the area of gravity irrigation in the irrigation district by implementing a rational irrigation system and canal operation system is of great significance for water resources conservation in the irrigation district.This study established a gravity irrigation rate model to investigate the relationship between the water level at the inlet of the irrigation canal and the area of gravity irrigation in the irrigation district.Based on the current canal operation system,three alternative canal operation systems were optimized and compared.The results show that the constructed gravity irrigation rate model can fully reflect the relationship between the water level at the control points of the canal and the area of gravity irrigation,and that segmented rotation irrigation is the most optimal operation system for the studied irrigation district.The study findings can provide references for irrigation district operation and management.关键词
