Interest-Subsidized Microloans and Income Growth of Low-income Farmers Under the Goal of Common Prosperity

Abstract
Credit support is an important instrument for stimulating the internal development moti-vation of low-income farmers,and plays an important role in promoting common prosperity.Based on the survey data of farmers in 15 provinces in central and western China from 2021 to 2022,this paper empiri-cally analyzes the effect and mechanism through which interest-subsidized microloans increase the in-come of low-income farmers.The findings are as follows:1)Interest-subsidized microloans have a signifi-cant positive impact on farmers'net operating income and net income;2)Interest-subsidized microloans help low-income farmers to increase their income by expanding agricultural production;3)There are dif-ferences in the effects of interest-subsidized microloans and different industrial support policy combina-tions on increasing the income of low-income farmers;4)Interest-subsidized microloans exhibit stronger pro-poor effects;5)The income-enhancing effect of interest-subsidized microloans is weaker than that of commercial loans.Under the goal of common prosperity,the design and implementation of the regular credit support policies for low-income farmers should make full use of the market mechanism and inte-grate it into broader industrial development strategies.Such efforts can facilitate the transformation of the policy from short-term relief to long-term development,thereby achieving the dual goals of optimizing the allocation of financial resources and enhancing farmers'internal development capacity.关键词
