Abstract
Rural revitalization,highlighted in the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC)as a key strategy addressing the"three rural issues"(agriculture,rural areas,and farmers),has been further emphasized in the report of the 20th CPC National Congress,which calls for its comprehensive advancement.Modernizing rural elderly education,as an integral component of rural revitalization,is characterized by the sound guiding principles and objectives,the demand-oriented content and curriculum,the age-friendly methods and technologies,the coordinated institutional frameworks and governance,and the targeted allocation of resources.Rural revitalization influences the modernization of rural elderly education through four primary mechanisms:policy support,economic empowerment,demand activation,resource integration.Currently,the modernization of rural elderly education faces realistic dilemmas such as ambiguous positioning of multiple stakeholders,uneven distribution of educational resources,weak awareness of learning among the elderly,and limited diversity in educational content and delivery.Advancing the modernization of rural elderly education through up-holding Party leadership,stimulating endogenous motivation,improving institutional mechanisms,and leveraging digital empowerment will provide strong support for the comprehensive advancement of rural revitalization.关键词
