Marx's Theory of All-Round Human Development and the"Five Competencies"in Medical Education:A Theo-retical and Practical Inquiry into Coupling Mechanisms

Abstract
Against the strategic backdrop of"Healthy Chi-na,"this study draws on Marx's theory of all-round human development and employs an empirical survey of 536 medi-cal students to systematically examine the coupling mecha-nism between the"Five Competencies"education and clas-sical theory.The findings reveal a profound alignment:mor-al competence shapes social responsibility,humanistic com-petence and the art of communication foster empathy and ethical awareness,while academic knowledge and techni-cal skills consolidate professional capability.These five di-mensions are interrelated and function as an integrated whole.Empirical evidence indicates that there are signifi-cant positive correlations among the five dimensions,with the highest correlation between academic knowledge and technical skills(r=0.718),and a strong correlation be-tween moral cultivation and humanistic care(r=0.674).Medical students demonstrate remarkable performance in the ethical and value-based dimensions(moral cultivation:4.35±0.52;humanistic care:4.28±0.58),while there is sub-stantial room for improvement in professional competence(academic knowledge:3.82±0.71;technical skills:3.76±0.75)and humanistic literacy(communication skills:3.91±0.68).Notably,the technical skills dimension shows the most significant individual differences(standard deviation:0.75).Based on these results,the study proposes establish-ing a top-level design oriented toward holistic development and integrating narrative medicine into clinical practice.These pathways provide a theoretical model and practical framework to facilitate the transformation of medical edu-cation toward the cultivation of comprehensively devel-oped medical professionals.关键词
