虚拟水贸易对黄河流域城市群水稀缺的影响
Impact of Virtual Water Trade on Water Scarcity in Urban Agglomerations in the Yellow River Basin
摘要
Abstract
Urban agglomerations become an important support point and growth pole for economic and social development in the Yellow River Basin. This study investigated the blue and grey water footprints of a total of 71 cities in five national urban agglomerations in the basin.A cit-y-scale multi-regional input-output(MRIO)model developed in this study was used to analyze the inter-and intra-urban agglomeration virtu-al water trade in 2017 and its impacts on water scarcity. The results showed that:a)The total blue and grey water footprints of the five urban agglomerations were 44.68 billion m3 and 310.28 billion m3,of which the Central Plains and Shandong Peninsula together accounted for 57.0%and 71.2%,respectively.b)Inter-city transfers of virtual blue water and grey water were 24.57 billion m3 and 77.13 billion m3,re-spectively,with intra-urban agglomeration transfers dominating, accounting for 76.6%and 81.9%,respectively.The transfer between inter-urban agglomerations was relatively low, accounting for only 23.4%and 18.1%,with the Central Plains and Shandong Peninsula being the main export regions for virtual water.c)There were significant differences in the impact of virtual water transfers on water scarcity in different cities.Trade alleviated water scarcity in economically developed cities to some extent, but exacerbated water scarcity in less-developed and agriculturally dominated cities. It is recommended to optimize the industrial and trade structure with the goal of water conservation and efficiency,to further mitigate the risk of trade-related water scarcity, and to promote the management and sustainable use of water resources.关键词
