针刺养老穴治疗原发性干燥综合征相关干眼症疗效观察
Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture at Yanglao Acupoint(SI6)for Dry Eye Syndrome Associated with Primary Sjögren's Syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the efficacy,safety,and immediate effects of acupuncture at Yanglao acupoint(SI6)combined with basic treatment on dry eye syndrome associated with primary Sjögren's syn-drome(PSS).Methods:A total of 66 patients with this disease were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with 33 cases in each group.The control group received conven-tional Western medicine basic treatment,while the observation group was treated with acupuncture at Yanglao acupoint in addition to the treatment in the control group,once every two weeks for a total of seven sessions.The main observation indicators were the visual analogue scale(VAS)score for dry eye,and the clinical efficacy was evaluated based on this;the secondary indicators included the EULAR Sjögren's syndrome patients reported index(ESSPRI),traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score,noninvasive tear film breakup time(NIBUT),Schirmer test(SIt),the onset and maintenance time of acupuncture,laboratory indicators[erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),immunoglobulins(IgA,IgG,IgM)],and the incidence rate of adverse reactions.Results:After treatment,the VAS score for dry eyes in both groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(all P＜0.05).The efficacy of the observation group was superior to that of the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the ESSPRI scores and TCM syndrome scores of both groups decreased compared to those before treatment,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the NIBUT of both groups was longer than that before treatment,and that of the observation group was longer than that of the control group(all P＜0.05).After treatment,the SIt results of both groups improved compared to those before treatment(P＜0.05),but there was no statistically significant difference between the groups(P＞0.05).The onset time of the first acupuncture effect in the observation group was(4.85±3.27)minutes,and the duration of the therapeutic effect showed a gradually prolonged trend with the increase in the number of acupuncture sessions(P＜0.05).After treatment,no significant changes were observed in the laboratory indicators of both groups,the differences between groups were not statistically significant(P＞0.05).There were no serious adverse reactions in both groups.Conclusion:Acupuncture at Yanglao acupoint combined with basic treatment can significantly alleviates PSS-related dry eye syndrome,with the characteristics of rapid onset,progressively prolonged maintenance effects,and good safety.关键词
