Research on the Generation Method of Freeform Meshes with Planar Panels Based on Principal Curvature Lines:Taking Quadrilateral as an Example

Abstract
Freeform surfaces are an important part of contemporary architectural design,but their lean construction still presents practical challenges,including high costs,frequent modifications,and low efficiency.Surface panelisation is an effective method for addressing the integration challenges of complex form design and construction,and its application scope and operational rules need urgent exploration in the context of architectural design.This paper focuses on parametric modelling environments and takes the example of planar quadrilateral panelisation.The core algorithm and tool development are elaborated in detail,and the design points of the method are revealed through numerous case validations.The research aims to improve design efficiency,enhance the rationality of solutions,and ultimately promote the development and practical application of freeform architectural design technology.关键词
