Abstract

A quick cold patching liquid asphalt material based on single component polyurethane was designed to address the problems that traditional asphalt pavement pit repair technology is easily constrained by environmental conditions with insufficient early strength.The composition ratio of the material was optimized by orthogonal experi-mental method,and its road performance was deeply explored,with a focus on key indicators such as strength growth law,water stability,high temperature performance,and low temperature crack resistance.At the same time,a com-parative analysis was conducted with commercially available reactive cold patch asphalt mixture and heat modified asphalt mixture.The research results indicate that the quick cold patching liquid asphalt can be prepared by No.70 matrix asphalt,single component polyurethane modifier,epoxy flaxseed oil toughening agent,KH-560 coupling agent,and glycerol ether diluent.The optimal mass ratios are 26.50%,67.30%,5.76%,0.96%,and 2.88%,re-spectively.This material exhibits excellent strength development characteristics:under normal temperature condi-tions,its Marshall stability significantly increases from 5.6 kN to 80.1 kN within 0.5~2 hours.At the same time,its residual stability reaches 88.3%,indicating excellent water stability;The dynamic stability of ruts at 60 ℃ is as high as 25 506 times/mm,indicating excellent high-temperature performance;The low-temperature bending strain reaches 2 723.8×10-6,demonstrating excellent low-temperature crack resistance.The comparative analysis results show that except for the low-temperature crack resistance index,which is basically the same as that of the heat modified asphalt mixture,the rapid strength cold patching liquid asphalt mixture is significantly better than the commercially available reactive cold patching asphalt mixture and heat modified asphalt mixture in key performance such as strength development speed,high-temperature performance,and water stability.Therefore,it is recom-mended to use quick cold patching liquid asphalt material in emergency road repair scenarios.
