Theoretical Logic and Empirical Test of Urban-Rural Integration Empowering High-quality and Full Employment

Abstract
Urban-rural integration is an important measure to build a new type of urban-rural relationship and promote coor-dinated urban-rural development,playing an important role in promoting high-quality and full employment.Taking 280 prefec-ture-level and above cities in China from 2007 to 2024 as the research object,this paper discusses the impact and mechanism of urban-rural integration on high-quality and full employment.The results show that urban-rural integration has a significant pro-moting effect on high-quality and full employment,and that there exists heterogeneity in the degree of geographic segmentation.The results of the mediation effect test show that rural industrial revitalization,entrepreneurial activity enhancement,and innova-tion activity enhancement are the three important mechanisms through which urban-rural integration empowers high-quality and full employment.That is,urban-rural integration can indirectly promote high-quality and full employment by promoting rural in-dustrial revitalization and enhancing entrepreneurial and innovation activity.关键词
