The Generation,Evolution and Era Orientation of Core Policy Concepts in the Field of Education for Forging the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation

Abstract
The establishment and evolution of the concept of"ethnic education",the emergence and enrichment of the concept of"education for ethnic unity and progress",and the initiation and construction of the concept of"education for forging the sense of community for the Chinese nation"reflect the great importance the Communist Party of China and the state attach to the cause of ethnic education,the cause of ethnic unity and progress,and forging the sense of communi-ty for the Chinese nation.An analysis of the emergence and evolution of these policy concepts reveals that while the three concepts are relatively independent in expression and have different focuses in terms of targets,content and objectives,they are also interconnected,integrated and mutually reinforcing.Together they form a conceptual system linked by funda-mental issues at the intersection of ethnic affairs and education.Based on an understanding of the contemporary orienta-tion of this conceptual system,practical efforts should be made to achieve high-quality development of ethnic education to strengthen its supporting role,upgrade education for ethnic unity and progress to optimize its carrier function,and improve the mechanism for education for forging the sense of community for the Chinese nation to highlight its leading role.关键词
