Progress of earthquake monitoring and seismic imaging with DAS technology and its potential applications in Shale-gas development

Abstract
Shale gas has emerged as a significant growth area in China's energy supply.Its development,however,involves a series of risks,including wellbore integrity,water contamination,and induced seismicity.Among these,the assessment of induced seismic risks places new demands on seismic monitoring and subsurface imaging.The emerging seismic acquisition technology-Distributed Acoustic Sensing(DAS)-offers advantages such as high spatial resolution and adaptability to harsh environments,holding promise for supporting seismic risk assessment in shale gas development.This paper first outlines the overall framework for seismic risk assessment for shale gas development.Then reviews the progress of DAS technology in seismic monitoring,active-and passive-sources imaging,and seismic source parameter estimation.Finally,future research directions are discussed,aiming to provide a reference for researchers engaged in related fields.关键词
