Abstract

Flue gas from fire flooding reservoirs channeling into oil wells seriously affects normal production of the oil wells.Foam is an effective method to control flue gas channeling,but a foamer with good temperature resistance and low adsorption on rock surface is re-quired.Sulfonate surfactants and betaine surfactants were collected and evaluated based on the fire flooding reservoir conditions in Hongqian oilfield of Xinjiang.The results show that hydroxysulfobetaine HSB1214 can withstand the temperature of 150℃and alpha o-lefin sulfonate AOS1416 still has better thermal stability at 200℃.In addition,the static adsorption of AOS1416 on the surface of sand-stone is significantly lower than that of HSB1214,and the resistance factor of the foam generated in AOS1416 core flow experiment is higher than that of HSB1214.For the cores with the permeability of(59~928)×10-3 μm2,the foam resistance factor formed by HSB1214 increased slightly with the increase of permeability and showed a very weak selective mobility reduction,but the foam resist-ance factor formed by AOS1416 decreased slightly with the increase of permeability.The difference in resistance factor values between the two foaming agents is not significant.Based on these evaluation results,it is suggested to choose AOS1416 as the foaming agent for regulating flue gas.The foam formed by AOS1416 at a mass fraction greater than 0.1%has better mobility control ability.Research re-sults may provide guidance for fire channeling control.
