Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of bioceramic iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy with immediate restoration on dental function and aesthetics in children with crown fractures of young permanent teeth.Methods A total of 120 children with crown fractures of young permanent teeth admitted to our hospital from May 2022 to May 2024 were selected as study subjects and were divided into two groups(60 cases each)using a random number table.The control group underwent traditional calcium hydroxide pulpotomy combined with delayed restoration,while the observation group underwent iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy combined with immediate restoration.The clinical efficacy,dental function indicators,aesthetic outcomes,and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%,higher than 78.33%in the control group(P<0.05).At 12 months postoperatively,the masticatory efficiency score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,while probing depth(PD),gingival index(GI),and sulcus bleeding index(SBI)were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The excellent and good rate of tooth color matching in the observation group was 91.67%,higher than 76.67%in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was 5.00%,lower than 16.67%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Bioceramic iRoot BP Plus pulpotomy with immediate restoration for the treatment of crown fractures in young permanent teeth can effectively preserve the vitality of the dental pulp,promote continued root development,improve masticatory function and periodontal health of the affected tooth,which provides better aesthetic outcomes with fewer adverse reactions.关键词
