Influence of traditional poetic education on traditional Chinese medicine
摘要
Abstract
Poetic education,namely education through The Book of Songs,has a long-standing tradition that culminated in the teachings of Confucius.As the foremost among the moral edifications of the'six classics',poetic education has exerted an extensive and profound influence on Chinese literati and traditional culture,including medical practitioners and the culture of traditional Chinese medicine.In terms of aesthetic ideology,it takes'joy without excess' as its practical principle,which has facilitated the emergence and development of the etiological theories of'six excesses' and'seven emotions' in traditional Chinese medicine.In the cultivation of virtue,it takes'inspiring benevolent hearts' as its practical goal,thus promoting the establishment and deepening of the medical concepts that'medicine is an art of benevolence'and'a physician should possess a benevolent heart'.In academic development,it pursues'extensive knowledge and broad learning',which has contributed to the advancement and flourishing of'the materia medica of traditional Chinese medicine'and the methodology of'diligent inquiry and extensive collection'.关键词
