Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy and aesthetic impact of deep fixation combined with orbicularis oculi muscle shortening in the treatment of entropion.Methods From February 2022 to October 2025,80 patients with entropion admitted to Puyang Second People's Hospital were selected and divided into an observation group and a control group based on different treatment methods,with 40 patients in each group.The control group was treated with deep fixation method,while the observation group was treated with deep fixation method combined with orbicularis oculi muscle shortening.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared,and the ocular surface disease index(OSDI),corneal fluorescein staining(CFS),breakup time(BUT),and ocular aesthetic indicators were compared before and after treatment in both groups.The occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups was also observed.Results The total effective rate of the observation group(92.50%)was significantly higher than that of the control group(67.50%),the difference is statistically significant(χ2=6.328,P=0.012).On postoperative day 7,the OSDI and CFS scores of patients in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the BUT level was higher than that in the control group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after surgery,the observation group had higher rates of eyelid angle,eyelid inclination,eyelid width,eyelash orientation,and tear mound exposure compared to the control group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group(10.00%)was significantly lower than that in the control group(27.50%),the difference is statistically significant(χ2=4.242,P=0.039).Conclusion The combination of deep fixation method and orbicularis oculi muscle shortening method has a significant therapeutic effect on entropion,which can improve eye discomfort symptoms,reduce corneal epithelial defects,improve tear film stability,achieve good aesthetic effects,reduce adverse reactions,and is worthy of further promotion and application.关键词
