Analysis of the Usability Design of a CD Player based on Design Psychology

Abstract
This paper takes the wall-mounted CD player designed by Naoto Fukasawa as a case study to explore the core applications of design psychology within its design.The research analyzes the product from three dimensions―cognitive process,interaction thinking,and usability―and points out how the design successfully integrates instinctive user behavior,emotional memory,and product function through intuitive interactions such as the pull-cord switch.The CD player is not only an efficient and practical object,but also an artwork that evokes emotional resonance through profound psychological insight,fully reflecting the user-centered value of design psychology.关键词
